A military man

Created by Peter 3 years ago

Neville was a Sandhurst grad and a Captain in the Royal Artillary in 1958

He was a military man all his life . Soldiers are expected to be brave by definition and he had lots of exposure to challenging situations in Zambia , Germany and especially Northern Ireland during his career.

What he had not planned for was a protracted and very complicated medical issue which struck him out of the blue and left him extremely handicapped on several fronts.

Throughout his illness he remained for the most part positive throuhout while some of us wondered if it was a salvagable situation .

He was very brave and never gave up in spite of numerous admissions to ER on the idea of recovering from it all and getting on with his life .

All the while he kept close to his three sons , his many friends and colleagues and of course his family .

Frankly he was a role model of courage right to the end of his journey , an inspiration !

Neville I salute you .
